Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Utilizing smooth-edged metal tools, soft tissue structures are worked through with specific pressure to positively impact speed of recovery, tissue regeneration, and range of motion.  A scan is conducted first to look for myofascial adhesions. Each muscle is covered in a sheath. When an area of the body is injured or under repetitive stress the sheaths can bind together forming myofascial adhesions or in the case of trauma scar tissue. The tools allow a specific depth and pressure necessary to break up these adhesions/scar tissue to help decrease pain and increase range of motion.
The tools focus on muscles, tendons, and ligaments. As the adhesions start breaking up the soft tissues begin to move with less resistance. This allows the muscles to fire in a more correct pattern decreasing dysfunction and pain. Blading also promotes proper healing by placing the body into stage 1 healing. This means the body is supplying the area with a lot of nutrients necessary to help the area function correctly. There are many musculoskeletal conditions that can be treated with blading. A few of these conditions include: Tennis/Golfers elbow, carpal tunnel, patellar femoral syndrome, plantar fasciitis, chronically tight muscles of neck and low back, many other musculoskeletal conditions.
